First some preliminaries; John 3:16 in theological language, is called the Gospel of the Kingdom. 1st Corinthians 15:3 & 4 is the Gospel of the Grace of God.
I need to interject something here that is not directly relevant to the Gospel of the Grace of God, there is another gospel that Dusty Rhoades knew absolutely nothing about, he so much as said that he knew absolutely nothing about it (see the series of tapes published by the Maranatha Bible Society, "The Armour of God"). Richard E. Rhodes has stated on tape, that he does not know what it means to have your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace.
(The Gospel of Peace is only mentioned twice in the entire Bible, the Book of Romans Chapter 10 verse 15, and the Book of Ephesians Chapter 6 verse 15. As of yet I am ignorant of the details of the Gospel of Peace. What I do know is that the Gospel of Peace is the gospel that will be preached during the Millennium. Also, note that this is not the final gospel, the Book of Revelation Chapter 14 verse 6 speaks of the Everlasting Gospel.)
I can explain in one word what it means to have your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace...the one word...Maranatha! It is an abomination that the lovey-dovey puddle of religious diarrhea in Litchfield Michigan uses that word in the name of their fellowship!
Progressive Revelation
So there can be no misunderstanding, let me quote first Corinthians 15:3 & 4
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
In that the members of the Maranatha Bible Society tout themselves on their sound doctrine, and tout themselves on their rightly word division, and tout themselves on their Progressive Revelation...in that "the scriptures" spoken of by Paul in the above two verses refer to his own writings...that's right, Ken Brandt, having the Mind of Christ, thereby insuring that he has a sound mind, thereby absolutely assuring that what he professes is sound doctrine...insists that "the scriptures" of the Gospel of the Grace of God refer to the letters of the Apostle Paul!
(After all, Ken Brandt has studied so much, that he has the spiritual insight to discern what is to him, what is for him or what is about him...or maybe about somebody else.)
My Conclusion:
For the edification of everyone in Litchfield...maybe even Jonesville...and also to be more than 6.57% biblical, "The Gospel", as preached by the Maranatha Bible Society, in that the scriptures refer to the epistles of the Apostle Paul...should more properly be titled...
